Holiday Display Unveiling Event
Tuesday, December 5 from 6-7:30pm
|
Celebrate the holiday season in Adams Morgan! On Tuesday, December 5 from 6-7:30pm, the community is invited to Adams Morgan as we unveil our neighborhood’s newest interactive illuminated holiday display underneath a snow-filled sky. The event will take place in the plaza in front of Truist Bank (corner of Columbia & Adams Mill Roads NW). Guests can enjoy an illuminated holiday display - the perfect place to take selfies or pose for a holiday card. Attendees can also listen to live music by local cover band Gotcha Covered. Complimentary hot chocolate and hot cider (non-alcoholic) will also be available on a first come, first serve basis.
The illuminated display will be open to the public daily through early January and we encourage everyone to plan a visit! While in Adams Morgan, don’t forget to make dinner reservations for dine-in or carryout at one of the many nearby restaurants before or after visiting the holiday display! Prefer to visit during the day? Check off your holiday gift list and visit the various shops and boutiques just steps away.

PSA 303 has two community walks scheduled for the month of December. With the holiday season in full force, the primary focus of these walks will be on Commercial and Residential Burglary prevention. I hope to identify what we as a community are doing well in prevention and identify some short falls where we could all do better to protect ourselves. I will share the measures that the Metropolitan Police Department has taken to ensure our officers are fully versed in patrol tactics and intervention to not only prevent this crime, but catch those committing it.
The first walk is on
Wednesday December 06, 2023 at 1930 hours
and will begin at 18th and Belmont St NW and will continue north on 18th St NW until Columbia Rd NW.
The second walk is on
Wednesday December 20, 2023 at 1930 hours
and will begin at 18th and Columbia Rd NW and will continue east on Columbia Rd NW until 17th St NW.

Metro Update: December 2023 Red Line Construction & Impacts
|
The upcoming Red Line Construction will involve critical safety repairs and other maintenance improvements between Monday, December 18, and Saturday, December 30, 2023, between Dupont Circle and Gallery Place stations. The work includes repairing a deteriorated concrete ceiling above both tracks in an area that dates back to the earliest days of the Metro system.

Free shuttles replace trains between Dupont Circle and Gallery Place

Trains will operate in two segments:

Between Shady Grove and Dupont Circle every 8 minutes (every 10 minutes after 9:30 p.m.)
