Reminder: March AMPBID Board Meeting & Marathon Street Closures

AMPBID Board Meeting Tuesday

The next Adams Morgan Partnership BID (AMPBID) Board of Directors' meeting will be Tuesday, March 12 from 5-7:00 PM at the Festival Center at 1640 Columbia Rd NW.

In addition to the usual agenda items, we will be hearing from Erin Chalkley of Our Last Straw about the newly implemented plastic straw ban in DC as well as food waste and composting programs.

The board has been working on a variety of proposed changes to the BID's by-laws to make them compliant with recent changes to nonprofit law. We're taking advantage of this opportunity to include the ability to lower the BID tax rate when needed. We expect the board to vote on the proposed changes.

Should the board approve these changes by a two-thirds majority, the full membership will then vote to approve them at the April 9 meeting. Copies of the proposed changes will be made available to the membership prior to that meeting.

Any questions about this process should be directed to Kristen Barden at kbarden@adamsmorganonline.org.

Hope you can join us!
