1) Higher Achievement hosts an open house on November 10th in their new offices at 1750 Columbia Road, NW

If you have walked past 1750 Columbia Rd lately, you may have noticed that there’s been some changes.

That’s because earlier this year, over 70 companies rallied together, gutted and renovated the existing building, and built Higher Achievement a brand new office.  After renting downtown on K Street for several years, they purchased a home that gives them 4 times the amount of space for ¼ of the monthly price and is in the same community as some of the middle school scholars that they serve.

Their new office would not have been possible without a village of supporters ranging from construction teams to realtors to designers to architects to our amazing neighbors  in Adams Morgan. They are truly grateful for all the hard work and dedication.

They will honor these supporters, celebrate the new space, and shine a spotlight on their scholars at a ribbon cutting on November 10 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.

They would be delighted if many in the community would join them.

P.S. They want to hear from you! As part of their new office, they are installing a time capsule that includes photos, scholar stories, and “My Wish for Higher Achievement” submissions.  At the ribbon cutting, they will ask each of you to write down your own wish for Higher Achievement and several lucky winners will be included in the time capsule!
