Summer Concert for July 7th - Cancelled due to extreme heat predictions

Unfortunately the final concert of the Fourth Annual FREE Summer Concert Series that was scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, July 7th from 5 to 7 pm in the public plaza in front of BB&T Bank has been CANCELLED due to the extreme heat and humidity conditions predicted. This concert will not be rescheduled because of the permit requirements.

DaWena was scheduled to perform tomorrow. DaWena is better known as the front man of The Honeyguns, soulful singer-songwriter, DaWena, brings his new sound to Adams Morgan as he makes his debut as a solo artist. Once described as “a mix of Sam Cooke and Sting”, DaWena fuses classic soul with rock & roll, while layering in his own brand of African-rooted vocals. You can follow him on Facebook: vaki.mawema@facebook .com

We are appreciative of the generous financial support for this year’s concert series from BB&T Bank.
