Visit Adams Morgan this Sunday, September 4, from Noon to 10pm for an open street, free entertainment for all ages, an abundance of shops and restaurants, and no cars at the
Adams Morgan Pedestrian Zone
!
18th Street NW between Kalorama and Columbia Roads NW will be closed to vehicular traffic on select Sundays so that pedestrians, pets, people on scooters, cartwheelers, stilt-walkers, runners, and bicyclists have more space to spread out and move safely through the street.
This initiative is brought to you by the
Adams Morgan Partnership BID
and generously sponsored by
Aetna
, a health care company that is working to build a healthier world and is contributing to all of the fun, healthy ways to move throughout the pedestrian zone. Aetna is committed to providing individuals, employers, health care professionals and producers with innovative benefits, products and services. The Adams Morgan Pedestrian Zone was made possible by a
Streets for the People grant
from the
DC Office of Planning
.
Enjoy a wide variety of entertainment, activities, and photo ops perfect for Instagram along 18th Street! More details will be announced later this week. Be sure to share your photos with us while visiting the Adams Morgan Pedestrian Zone using #AMPZ and @admobid.
See you Sunday!
