Adams Morgan Fall PorchFest moved to November 4
|
Due to the bad weather we decided to postpone PorchFest (originally scheduled for October 14). We are busy rebooking bands, reconfirming locations and volunteers, and preparing for a great event on November 4.
The
website
currently has the lineup for the original date, but there will likely be some changes to bands and locations before the rescheduled lineup is finalized.
Adams Morgan PorchFest is officially a twice-a-year event with its return on Saturday, November 4 from 2pm - 6pm.
DC's favorite music festival has grown in size and popularity every year and this fall
we're really going big and will be closing 18th Street to vehicle traffic between Kalorama and Columbia Roads during the event!

New this year: PorchFest T-shirts at Neighborhood Retailers
|
In the past buying a PorchFest t-shirt was tricky. They were only available during the four hours of the event and only from the one tent where thousands of people were crowded to get their maps & wristbands. This year we've come up with a better plan -- we are partnering with neighborhood retailers

Adams Morgan Apple Festival returns on October 28
|
The 10th Annual Adams Morgan Apple Pie Baking Contest and the 15th Annual Licking Creek Bend Farm Heirloom Apple Tasting returns to Adams Morgan on
Saturday, October 28 from 10am - 1pm
!
The highly-anticipated community event will take place in front of The Line Hotel and directly across the street from the farmer’s market in Unity Park at Euclid and Champlain Streets NW.

Businesses: Let us know about your apple menu items & specials!
You can find apples in pies, tarts, martinis, salads, and more, but can people find any of those things (or other apple creations) at your business?
We would love to send Apple Festival attendees into Adams Morgan businesses before or after the event, so to play off of the “apple” theme, please let us know if you’d like to feature some sort of apple menu item (beverage, dessert, swag, etc.) and we can promote it leading up to the event and on that day. It can be an existing menu item or something special for that weekend. And retailers, we're open to submissions from you as well as long as it's apple-related.

About Our Kitchen
We are a green kitchen! The Festival Center’s mission is to provide a safe, high-quality kitchen space and community for aspiring and existing food entrepreneurs. Our kitchen is two-station, fully electric commercial kitchen that is outfitted with induction ovens and cooktops (meaning you can cook more, faster, and with more even heat). Our kitchen is a great space to prep, cook, and package food. The Festival Center kitchen also offers shared utensils, refrigerated storage, dry storage, food processor, professional mixer, and many more items available to add-on.
Our Kitchen’s Mission
As a faith-based community center, our goal is to provide technical and community support to our kitchen members in a way that is consistent with Festival Center values of mutual solidarity, generous hospitality, and collective formation.

. License types available are limited to Courier, Cultivation Center, and Manufacturer.

There is no fee to create an account. Applicants may save their work and return to their application throughout the application period.
