Jubilee Housing Hosts Community Resource Fair
|
From our friends at Jubilee Housing:
Jubilee Housing is excited to announce the launch of our recurring Community Resource Fair this summer—and we’d love to invite you to join us as a vendor!
The fair will bring together nonprofit partners, city agencies, government representatives, and service providers to connect Adams Morgan residents with valuable resources and opportunities. It will also serve as an important access point for individuals who may be in need but are unaware of what’s available to them.
Event Details
The Community Resource Fair will be held on the
last Wednesday of each month, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, beginning June 25, 2025.
Location:
Adams Morgan Plaza, 1800 Columbia Road NW.
Vendor Guidelines
To participate, we ask that vendors bring their own tables, chairs, tents, and any power sources they may need. Tables should be no longer than six feet to ensure accessibility and space for all participants. Each vendor will be assigned a designated space on the Plaza. We kindly ask all vendors to arrive early for setup and remain for the duration of the event. Final event logistics and guidelines will be shared with confirmed participants in advance.

ICE Resumes Workplace Enforcement at Restaurants
The Trump administration
reversed its brief pause
on immigration enforcement at restaurants, hotels, and farms, with ICE officials receiving new guidance Monday that operations may resume.

Quick Reversal:
Last week's pause, announced following President Trump's Truth Social post about forthcoming changes, lasted only days. ICE can now continue workplace operations that are “targeted in nature.”

Minimum Wage Increases July 1
Reminder, minimum wage goes up July 1 in the District and Montgomery County as both jurisdictions make their annual Consumer Price Index adjustments.

District of Columbia:
Hourly minimum wage rises to $17.95 per hour. The tipped wage will remain at $10 through emergency legislation passed this month by DC Council.
