Participate in the AdMo Cash Mob in celebration of DC Small Business Month! You may have heard of a flash mob, a group of people meet at a certain time and place and begin “spontaneously” dancing a routine. The idea behind a Cash Mob is to get people into local businesses to shop and support them. Participants are encouraged to visit a particular business on a given day and time period (to allow for social distancing) and spend money. Each week, we will feature various small businesses in Adams Morgan that are participating in our Cash Mob.

Registration is Filling up for Bike To Work Day 2021
Limited to 30 per half-hour slot -- Don't Miss Out

The Washington, DC region’s 20th Anniversary Bike to Work Day is returning this year on
Friday, May 21, 2021
.
Due to COVID, things will be a bit different this year. Registrants will have to register for a specific 30 minute time slot and only 30 riders will be allowed to register for each slot, so total registration will be strictly limited. To help accommodate this, we're extending our pit stop hours -- the
Adams Morgan Pit Stop
will be open from 7:30am to 11:00am at Unity Park (in front of The LINE Hotel DC, corner of Columbia Rd. and Champlain St., NW).
Due to the COVID restrictions this year we won't be able to host any on-site activities, but we're planning on having some good giveaways, so stay tuned for more details.

Adams Morgan Farmers Market coming to Unity Park on Saturday, June 5!
|
On June 5, the beloved Adams Morgan Farmers Market will begin operations at Unity Park in front of The LINE Hotel DC. Unity Park is the triangle park at the confluence of Columbia Rd., Champlain St., and Euclid St., NW. The market is celebrating its 49th year in the neighborhood. The market will be open from 8:30am - 1pm on Saturdays through Christmas.
Parking around the park will be restricted from 5am - 3pm on Saturdays for the market to allow for the vendors' trucks --
cars will be towed if they violate the parking restrictions

On Monday Mayor Bowser announced that DC will lift most COVID capacity restrictions on May 21, and the remainder on June 11. Face masks will still be required.

Small Business Scavenger Hunt! May 10-22

Join CNHED and the District's many Main Streets and BIDs in a two-week-long scavenger hunt extravaganza! The hunt will center around neighborhoods in all eight Wards and include fun missions that get you out into the city. Activities may include taking a picture in front of a local small business, finding a neighborhood landmark, or patronizing a coffee shop. The scavenger hunt will be facilitated through the Goosechase app and is free to participate. The team or individual who wins the most points will win a $150 gift card to a local small business. There will also be two runner-up winners who will be awarded $50 gift cards.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PRELIMINARY FINDING ON THE RECERTIFICATION OF THE ADAMS MORGAN PARTNERSHIP BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 19 of the Business Improvement Districts Act of 1996, effective May 29, 1996 (D.C. Law 11-134; D.C. Official Code § 2-1215.18) (“Act”), the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) will hold a public hearing on the recertification of the Adams Morgan Partnership Business Improvement District.
The public hearing will be held at 2:00 pm on
Monday, June 21, 2021 in Suite 850N, 441 4th Street NW, Washington, D.C.
DSLBD Director Kristi Whitfield has informed the Adams Morgan Partnership Business Improvement District that the filing criteria set forth in D.C. Official Code § 2-1215.18 have been met and their application is otherwise in conformity with the Act.
The BID application is available for review by the public during normal business hours on weekdays at 1640 Columbia Road, N.W., in the offices of the Adams Morgan Partnership Business Improvement District; and by the public online at:
