Taste of Pride
is a multi-tiered
Capital Pride Alliance
(CPA) event series celebrating the rich connection between the LGBTQ+ and culinary communities. This year's program will feature a multi-month collaboration between DC’s Business Improvement Districts (BIDS) that showcase the distinctive flavors and culinary talents within these vibrant neighborhoods.
Taste of Pride aims to blend the culinary artistry of our city with the pride and diversity that define our community, paving the way for a vibrant
WorldPride 2025
celebration.

Taste of Pride Participation Requirements

All participating restaurants agree to participate during the period designated by their BID.

All participating restaurants agree to donate at one of the participation tiers listed in
this document
.

All Participating restaurants must register by the date designated by their BID (tbd).

All participating restaurants, through in-house marketing assets, tabletop signs, QR codes, and point of sale services should encourage patrons to donate to the PRIDE365 Fund.
-
All participating restaurants MUST display a CPA sticker to show support for the LGBTQ community. Stickers will be provided by the Capital Pride Alliance.
-
All participating restaurants are encouraged to complete the post-Taste of Pride survey to provide feedback on the event.
-
All participating restaurants are encouraged to develop appropriate LGBTQ+ programming (i.e., Drag show, poetry reading, performing arts).
-
All Participating restaurants are encouraged to add Pride décor to enhance their Taste of Pride.
-
All participating restaurants can enhance their donation by pledging to provide 5-10% of the net sales for their participation timeframe or by providing gift certificates, additional specials, or giveaways for additional marketing opportunities.

for the Adams Morgan Pit Stop and plan on joining us in Unity Park on Thursday, May 15. We'll have refreshments, giveaways, and maybe a few surprises as well.

who will have bicycle repair stations, free educational bike safety checks, and an info table with upcoming events and ways to get involved in their shop community.

First Aid/CPR Training at Your Location
|
Laura Coates is a paramedic. She has been in the medical field for 11 years and is a certified CPR instructor. She offers mobile service where she brings her equipment to you. Training includes CPR, wound care, choking relief, burn treatment, Heartsaver/First Aid and AED.
She charges $130 for her services -- the price includes the CPR cards. Her group rates are $100 per person; that price includes the cards as well.

We are less than 30 days away from Mayor Bowser releasing her FY 2026 budget – and it is critical that we help shape this year’s budget priorities.
We know the District isn’t operating as efficiently as it could. The DC Council passes laws and imposes rules that needlessly restrict life’s essentials. Housing is hard to build, services are difficult to access, and the cost of living is far too high. Meanwhile, local government struggles to address residents’ concerns. DC employers must make our collective voice heard.

The Coalition is thrilled to announce the reopening of the application for our flagship small business executive education program, ELEVATE.
The Executive Leadership Education Venture Advancing Talented Entrepreneurs (ELEVATE) Program provides best-in-class training to small businesses located in DC and the surrounding metropolitan area. Through ELEVATE, District-based small business owners work to acquire new skills that allow them to more effectively and efficiently manage their business, products, and services, as well as increase revenue and employment.
ELEVATE is the only executive education program in DC that is backed by a university partner. The 3-month ELEVATE curriculum, developed by the George Washington School of Business (GWSB) Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence, is led by GWSB faculty members.

Customer Service Center Temporarily Relocating
|
Starting Monday, March 17, 2025, the DLCP Customer Service Center will temporarily move from the second floor to the sixth floor (Suite E630) at 1100 4th Street SW.
Customers will continue to receive the same high-quality service from the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP), the Department of Buildings (DOB), and the District Department of Transportation (DDOT):

DLCP Walk-in Center
: Assistance with obtaining, renewing, and managing business and professional licenses, as well as support for filing complaints and resolving consumer issues.

DOB Walk-in Center
: Resources for residential and commercial permit applications, plan reviews, and vacant building inspections.

DDOT Permitting Center
: Support for filing permit applications related to the District’s public space.

DC APEX Accelerator
offers personalized business counseling and competitive insights for navigating the government contracting process successfully.

The Board of Directors of the Adams Morgan Partnership Business Improvement District meets on the second Tuesday of every month (except August, October, and December).
Meetings are currently being held online as well as in-person (hybrid) and begin at 5pm.
