Holiday Marketing Workshop: New Best Practices, Pro-Hacks & What Doesn't Work Anymore
|
Between myriad festive celebrations and visitors flocking back to D.C., the upcoming holiday season is a prime time for operators to maximize profits through reservations, private event spaces, special catering, gift cards, merchandise, and unique events. However, the pandemic changed everything about the way restaurants effectively market themselves, deploy publicity campaigns, connect with guests, interact with the press, and work with influencers.
So how do operators and their teams recalibrate, refocus, reenergize, and re-engage in ways that translate into sales and success this holiday season? Explore new best practices, pro-hacks, and take a frank look at restaurant marketing moving into the upcoming holiday season with local experts during RAMW's next Restaurant Marketing 101 workshop on Tuesday, November 9 at 2:00 pm.

Job Fair for skilled refugees and other displaced people in the DC metro area
|
By popular demand, One Journey is bringing back its
Employment Speed Mentoring & Mini-Job Fair
for skilled refugees and other displaced people in the DC metro area. Did you know that refugees, including newly arrived Afghan refugees, are an untapped source of talents? When they arrive in America, newcomers who were professionals in their home countries must take the first job available to survive and often can’t find a way to apply their credentials and experience.
Your organization can help change this on November 13th as a recruiter at this popular One Journey event with anticipated 120+ participants. Skilled job seekers will be paired with volunteers from various professional fields (e.g., IT, health, engineering, business/ finance, project management, and more) for mentoring and networking. In the mini-job fair area, you can reserve a display table (at no charge) for sharing employment information and accepting resumes.
-
What
: Outdoors Employment Speed Mentoring and Mini Job Fair
-
Where
: Washington International School, Tregaron Campus (3100 Macomb St NW, Washington, DC 20008)
-
When
: Saturday, November 13, 2-4pm
-
Event Agenda
: 1-2pm - speed employment mentoring; 3-4pm - Job Fair and networking; Recruiters should plan to arrive at the event around 2:45pm to set up
What to expect as a recruiter:
-
A table and space outdoors for you to displace company information, banner, and take resumes
-
Recruiters attending the in-person outdoors event should plan to arrive around 2:45pm to start set up
-
All participants will be required to wear a face mask, practice social distancing, and all adults are expected to be fully vaccinated
Please confirm with Wendy Chan (
wchanonejourney@gmail.com
) by COB Tuesday, 11/9 if your organization is able to participate in the job fair, the preferred format of participation (virtual vs. in-person), and the name and contact information of the recruiter(s) who will represent your organization.
