DC Water would like to turn off the water on Monday night December 12 in support of the ongoing Small Diameter Water Main Replacement Project at Adams Mill Road, NW/Lanier Place, NW.
The work on December 12th will perform needed tie-ins of the newly installed water mains and will impact the 12-inch main serving businesses ONLY on Lanier Place, Columbia Road and Adams Mill Road. There are about 20-25 businesses affected. They anticipate the shut down to last for approximately 6 hours. Construction work will begin around 9:00 pm with the water shut-off to start around 12 midnight. The water will be back on around 6 AM and the work will concluded around 8 AM.
All affected will receive notification from DC Water also. Once the tie-ins are complete and has been deemed successful the water main will be recharged immediately.
