Save the Date: Adams Morgan Apple Festival: October 18
|
The Annual
Adams Morgan Apple Pie Baking Contest
and the Annual Licking Creek Bend Farm Heirloom Apple Tasting returns on Saturday, October 18! The highly-anticipated community event will take place in front of The Line Hotel and directly across the street from the farmer’s market in Unity Park at Euclid and Champlain Streets NW.
The event will run from 10am - 1pm and will feature Heirloom Apple Tasting. Slices of contestants' pies will be sold for $6 each with all proceeds going to

The 15th edition of
Adams Morgan PorchFest
is coming up on Saturday, November 1 and we're in the midst of planning for another great event.
There are several ways you can get involved (other than just showing up and enjoying the day):

a wide variety of Winter Squashes, Arugula, Beets, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Eggplant, Melons, Chicory Root, Apples, Hot peppers, Herbs, Basil, Pears, Amaranth, String Beans Snap Peas, Garlic and Collard Greens, Jerusalem (also called) Sun Chokes
...and other fall goodies and they say some surprises along with seasonal fruits from our partner orchard.

Le Bustiere Boutique is hiring part-time, customer-focused Bra Fitters & Lingerie Stylists for its DC and Bethesda locations. Pay ranges from $18–$21/hr. Weekend availability is required.
Applicants should have at least 1 year of retail experience (lingerie preferred), strong communication skills, and a passion for empowering women. Duties include bra fitting, styling, merchandising, and supporting social media.

Permanent Streatery Program Deadlines and Updates
|
With the expiration of the temporary streatery program on November 30, 2025, please note the following deadlines and updates to ensure your food establishment is compliant with the Permanent Streatery Program:
Temporary Streatery Program Expires November 30, 2025
All temporary streatery permits expire on November 30, 2025. Food establishments must obtain a Streatery Design Permit from DDOT to bring their structures into compliance with the permanent program. All structures and streatery elements must be removed from public space by this date to avoid enforcement.
Apply for Debris Removal by November 1, 2025
To support the removal of non-compliant streateries, DDOT and DPW are helping businesses remove the debris of deconstructed streateries from public space. To request streatery debris removal, email
steateries@dc.gov
by November 1, 2025 to be added to the pick-up list. DDOT will notify businesses of their scheduled debris pickup date and provide specific directions on how to demolish and organize streatery materials to ensure quick and seamless removal by DPW.
Virtual Office Hours Every Monday
To assist businesses with this transition, DDOT is hosting virtual office hours to provide site-specific guidance on how to comply with the new design requirements. To register for the office hours, please email
