Adams Morgan Movie Nights are back TOMORROW with Hairspray!
💬 We'll be joined by sponsors and neighborhood nonprofits with tables set up to share info and treats
🎥 We'll have cookies from Wegman's so be there early to get a cookie and a good spot -- the movie should start between 8:30 & 8:45.

Weaving Resistance: Participatory Performance for World Pride DC 2025
|
Join artist Monica Jahan Bose for an outdoor participatory performance creating a massive sari scroll about equality, justice, and pride.
Friday, June 6; 6-7:30pm at Marie Reed Elementary School
Please join Storytelling with Saris at Marie Reed Plaza on 18th and Wyoming Streets, NW, for a participatory performance for World Pride DC 2025. The healing community performance will involve sewing five massive sari panels together, movement, poetry recitation and a short procession and with the 100-foot sari panel on gender, sexuality, and the fabric of freedom.

June Broker Business Connect Meeting
|
Through their partnership with DC Health Link, RAMW would like you to consider the following opportunity to help your part-time, temporary, and seasonal workers, as well as 1099 contractors to enroll in quality health insurance through the District’s ACA marketplace. And if you don’t offer a health plan to your full-time employees, please consider this opportunity for your full-time workers as well.
DC Health Link offers 25 different health plans for District residents to fit all budgets. There are PPOs, POSs, and HMOs—low and high deductibles—and HSA compatible plans from CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield and Kaiser Permanente. Fifteen of the 25 plans even cover essential medical services without having to first pay your deductible, including urgent care, specialists (including mental health), primary care, and generic medication. All District residents qualify for coverage through DC Health Link and may even qualify for reduced premiums.
To make it easy, DC Health Link can send expert health insurance Assisters to your business to educate and enroll or show you how to find a broker who can help. If that is not convenient for you, please let your staff know they can go directly to DCHealthLink.com to shop, compare, and enroll in quality health insurance. DC Health Link’s consumer decision support tools (ranked number 1 among state marketplaces) make it easy to compare and shop.

During the session, small business restaurant owners and operators will be provided information on the various affordable group health insurance options from trusted carriers currently available on the small business marketplace. We will also discuss incentives to encourage employer-sponsored enrollment.

What began as a humble, late-night dream built from scratch right here in Washington, DC, turned into something much more than a restaurant. It became a haven for night owls, food lovers, and neighbors in need of a hot meal and a friendly face. Through it all — from long nights to the harshest stretches of the COVID-19 pandemic — we kept going, thanks to the love and loyalty of this incredible community.

Meetings are currently being held online as well as in-person (hybrid) and begin at 5pm.
