2023 AdMo Art Walk kicks off on April 3
|
DC Arts Center
, in partnership with AMPBID, is proud to present the
2023 AdMo Art Walk
— a free, new way to experience art! Every year, local businesses in Adams Morgan are partnered with local artists in DC, who are invited to display their work all month long in the business’ storefront. The result is a neighborhood-wide public art exhibition where Adams Morgan becomes your own personal art gallery!
This year's
AdMo Art Walk
will run from April 3 through April 30.
This year we have more artists and businesses participating than ever before, and while you’re free to walk the streets of Adams Morgan and admire an impressive selection of artwork displayed in various storefronts in a self-guided walking tour, members of The DC Arts Center will be offering guided tours on select weekends in April!

What makes your business unique? Tell us more about Le Bustiere Boutique!
Stephanie Jacek:
Le Bustiere is celebrating its 10th year in business, and I believe that our incredible service and a fantastic selection of products is what sets us apart. And now we’re the only luxury lingerie boutique in DC!
AMPBID:
Why did you go into business? Was there a single event that spurred you into it?
SJ:
I was working in healthcare but noticed that a lot of people were struggling to find bras and lingerie that fit well and made them feel supported, confident, and even sexy on a daily basis. I wanted to give customers an exciting and luxurious atmosphere that offered high-end fashion, impeccable fit, and exceptional service.
AMPBID:
What is your motivation/what gets you up every morning and keeps you focused?
SJ:
I’m not a morning person, but I do love what I do. I love taking care of people and helping them find something that makes them feel really incredible to take on all the challenges in their lives.
AMPBID:
What’s your favorite part about the Adams Morgan community and why?
SJ:
This neighborhood is so welcoming, diverse, and eclectic, which makes it a great place for all kinds of people to come together and discover all the great businesses this area has to offer. I haven’t experienced that incredible energy that the Adams Morgan community has in other neighborhoods. There’s such a great energy here that makes it a great place to live and work.
AMPBID:
What’s something your customers may not know about you and/or your business that might surprise them?
SJ:
I didn’t come from a retail background; I had a career in healthcare but giving customers a fantastic experience was always something that was important to me and is the foundation of what I do at Le Bustiere today.

2023 RAMMY Awards
through March 31st.
The Annual RAMMY Awards honor the exceptional ability and accomplishments of the hard-working individuals and organizations of the Washington, DC region’s restaurant and foodservice community.
The 41st Annual RAMMY Awards and Gala will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Downtown DC. Finalists will be announced on Monday, April 10, 2023.

Bike to Work Day is on May 19 -- Registration is Now Open!
|
The League of American Bicyclists began Bike to Work Day as part of Bike Month in 1956. Over the years, Bike to Work Day has grown into a widespread event with countless bicyclists taking to the streets nationwide in an effort to get commuters to try bicycling to work as a healthy and safe alternative to driving alone. In the Metropolitan Washington region, Bike to Work Day has grown from a small group of a few hundred in 2001 to an all-time high of 18,700 participants in 2017.
The
Adams Morgan pit stop will be at Unity Park
again this year. Adams Morgan regularly has one of the highest registration rates in the city and we plan on having refreshments and other goodies available to riders in addition to the free t-shirt. We'll be updating you with more information as the event gets closer.

will provide $400,000 in grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 to support cold storage infrastructure and equipment needs of food businesses and nonprofit organizations providing food-related goods and services in the Washington, DC region. Eligible locations include:
