Bike To Work Day is Tomorrow!

The Washington, DC region’s 20th Anniversary Bike to Work Day (BTWD) is returning this year on Friday, May 21, 2021 .

Due to COVID, things will be a bit different this year. Registrants will have to register for a specific 30 minute time slot and only 30 riders will be allowed to register for each slot, so total registration will be strictly limited. To help accommodate this, we're extending our pit stop hours -- the Adams Morgan Pit Stop will be open from 7:30am to 11:00am at Unity Park (in front of The LINE Hotel DC, corner of Columbia Rd. and Champlain St., NW). We will have bagels & cream cheese available for the first 100 riders.

All slots for the Adams Morgan pit stop have been claimed. Click here to find another available pit stop.

Rules for this year's BTWD:

  • Zero-tolerance mask enforcement.
  • Pre-selected check-in times for staggered arrival times, with 25-30 bicyclists per 30-minute timeslot.
  • Physical distancing requirements, including six-foot distancing, one-way traffic flow, hand sanitizer stations, and appropriate signage.

BTWD promotes bicycling as a healthy commuting option that lowers commuting costs, reduces vehicle wear and tear, lessens traffic congestion, encourages healthier lifestyles, and improves air quality. The event, which comes during May’s Mental Health Awareness Month, also celebrates the powerful effect exercise has on physical and mental health.

The AdMo Cash Mob Continues this Saturday at Tribute Collective!

Participate in the AdMo Cash Mob in celebration of DC Small Business Month!

Don’t miss out on our final AdMo Cash Mob at Tribute Collective this Saturday, May 22 from 11am-3pm! Tribute is located at 1664 Columbia Road NW. Tribute supports small and independent designers from the United States, Mexico, the Middle East, West Africa and Southeast Asia.

The idea behind the AdMo Cash Mob is to get people into local businesses to shop and support them! Participants are encouraged to visit a particular business on a given day and time period (to allow for social distancing) and spend money. Join us for the “Community Grid” Artist Meet & Greet on Monday, May 24

Join “Community Grid” artists My Ly and Jaclyn Stallard on Monday, May 24 from 2:30-4pm in BB&T Plaza (1801 Adams Mill Rd NW) for an artist meet-and-greet! Meet the artists that created this one-of-a-kind, giant cherry blossom sculpture, interact with the art, and take some fun photos! It's one of 26 sculptures that were installed throughout DC, Virginia, and Maryland as part of Art in Bloom, a public art exhibition in celebration of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

Don’t miss out on meeting the artists! The sculpture will be removed in early June.

Community Grid encourages conversation and interaction as viewers are invited to identify their own location as well as the placement of monumental landmarks throughout Washington, DC. The design creatively weaves together the diversity of DC as an abstract quilt of the nation’s capital city. The DC city street map is a symbol of strength encompassing a patchwork of colors and neighborhoods that connect communities together. This recognizable and iconic city grid celebrates the coming together of people and purpose in a sacred place at a special time, the annual Cherry Blossom Festival.

Post your photos to social media, tagging @admobid and @CherryBlossFest and using hashtags #ArtInBloom#AdMoInBloom and #AdamsMorganStrong.
