Frames of Fear
, DC in Motion’s latest community collaboration showcase in partnership with the Adams Morgan Partnership Business Improvement District. DC in Motion is a community that strives to cater to all things motion graphics/animation in the DC area. We invited animators, illustrators, and motion designers alike to create wicked windows with anything from possessed novels flying around bookstores to zombies thrifting for fashion. Now, these visions from artists across the country will be brought to life via looped animations projected onto the storefronts and buildings in the Adams Morgan district of Washington, DC.

Hospitality Employers Recruitment 2021
|
The
Adams Morgan Partnership BID
is happy to announce the partnership with the
DC Department of Employment Services
(DOES), and the
Back to Work DC
campaign to support the Adams Morgan BID businesses and their workforce needs. This program was specifically designed to assist our BID’s businesses with filling their immediate staffing needs.
The Back to Work DC campaign was launched in response to the District’s unemployment rate, which is affecting thousands of DC workers. This initiative allows employers to connect directly with pre-screened, job-ready candidates to address the growing employer demand for qualified workers.
By sharing open positions with DOES using the link below, businesses will receive assistance with job postings on the DC Networks system, as well as active assistance from a DOES staff member to find qualified candidates.
Back to Work DC - Hospitality Recruitment Summer 2021 (Employer Registration)
(note: the form asks for a participation date -- leave it set to the pre-selected "TBD" choice)
An overview of this program is below.
STEP 1: Business Registration and Job Posting:

Register the business with the program and list all available job postings. There is no charge for the program, and employers will be able to easily enter job postings in the job posting summary area provided. Registered employers will receive a confirmation email as a guide through the next steps.
STEP 2: DOES Targeted Recruitment:
-
DOES recruitment specialists will review hiring needs and refer a list of individuals with resumes, work skills and experience. Employers should anticipate candidate referrals within ten (10) business days.
STEP 3: Interview/Hiring:
-
Upon selection of candidates of the employer’s choice, employers will be able to set-up individual interviews, virtual or in-person, with the selected candidates to fill open positions.

As the National Small Business Week begins,
Walker’s Legacy Foundation
has launched its signature business development program,
Women Who Enterprise
(WWE) in multiple U.S. cities. This 3-month accelerator targets early-stage women of color entrepreneurs and address the unique challenges and barriers faced by women of color entrepreneurs. For the last 12 years, the collective brand of Walker’s Legacy has led the charge and serves as a national model to inspire, engage and equip women-led businesses along their entrepreneurial journey.
All accelerator programs begin November 6 and will be conducted virtually due to the pandemic. Women of color business owners who have a registered business in Washington, DC can apply online.
