Adams Morgan Farmers Market for Saturday December 13
ADAMS MORGAN FARMERS MARKET
SATURDAY DECEMBER 13
8:00AM - 1:00PM RAIN OR SHINE, COLD, SNOW, SLEET, HAIL.....
Our market continues this Saturday and next (Dec 20) and then we close up for the winter and will be back in June.
We'll be there 8:30am - 1:00pm.
If you've ordered a tree/wreath/roping, try to get to the market by 11:00am - some folks forget they ordered one and forget to pick it up. Meanwhile we turn away folks who want one.
We will have extra ROPE, HOLLY and WREATHS, and maybe some TREES.
Since this is about the end of fresh APPLES, we'll discount the price if you get 10lbs or more ($1.49/lb) except for LADY APPLES. The GOLDRUSH, YORK and WINESAPS keep the best. The LADY'S (small heirloom 16th century fresh APPLES) are incredible!
This is probably the last pressing of the unpasteurized CIDER made from our pesticide-free STAYMAN-WINESAP and MUTSU APPLES.
Also, we'll have WINTER SQUASH, CARROTS, ONIONS, POTATOES, BRUSSEL SPROUTS, BROCCOLI, CABBAGE, BOK CHOY and more seasonal goodies, plus some of those amazing fresh-roasted PEANUTS. But, come early, they go fast!
It is still time to order a tree for Saturday, Dec 20. Let us know.
Don't forget to bring bags, pt and qt containers.
Upper Crust Bakery will be there also.
Michael, Esther, Justin and Lindsay
Licking Creek Bend Farm
See you at the market.

More on YOPP
As part of Small Business Saturday on November 29th, about 10 Adams Morgan businesses signed up for YOPP. There are about 15 businesses now and more are joining every day. It is completely FREE!
Here are more details:
Hello! My name is Sarah Lakey and I am the Director of Marketing and Small Business Liason for Yopp! Yopp, created specifically for small businesses and shoppers, has partnered with the Adams Morgan Partnership BID to bring YOPP to Adams Morgan and many businesses are already signed on!
The idea is to get people out shopping and dining in Adams Morgan this holiday season, so the more invites the better.
Wondering what YOPP is??
YOPP is a mobile shopping social network that supports small business by helping shoppers find exactly what they’re looking for in their local community with help from other shoppers and local businesses. Instead of wasting time and energy on search engines, shoppers can ask the shopping social network, including local businesses, to help them find what they’re looking for. For example, shoppers can post something they're looking for on YOPP such as stationary, or a great gift for animal lovers, and other YOPP users can message them where to find it. Local small businesses that sell those items will also be notified through YOPP that a shopper is looking for something they sell and can reach out to the shopper directly. Shoppers can also get invited to exclusive sales, events and promotions by small business and share cool stuff they find in the community.
This is absolutely free to everyone! If you don’t have an iphone, that is okay. Please reach out to me and I will create your invite and also “like” us on Facebook and begin posting your own details and we will make sure to get the word out!
We would love to help you download this app and post your invites so you can take full advantage of it. Please email me at
sarahl@yoppapp.com
if you need help or have questions or want us to post an invite! We look forward to seeing you!
All the best-
Sarah Lakey
