The Diner takes a break!
The Diner at 2453 18th Street, NW (normally open 24/7) will be closed from after brunch on August 10th for a couple weeks to take an August pause and do a deep clean, replace some old equipment and give the place a fresh coat of paint. This will also provide a chance for the staff to take a break and do some training. Stay tuned for more to come!

From the folks behind National Rum Day:
4th Annual Rum-B-Que - Saturday August 16th
1pm to 5pm | Jack Rose Dining Saloon
2007 18th Street, NW
Rum Festivities close out on August 16th, which is National Rum Day, and there's no better way than a Rum-B-Que. Chef Russell Jones will be serving up mouth-watering BBQ deliciousness from the wood-fired grill, to include pulled pork sliders, skewers, grilled chicken and more. Party highlights include education and rum tasting areas, six (6) signature punch stations featuring premium sponsored rums, and rum-inspired desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth. All this, from Jack Rose’s open-air rooftop terrace.
National Rum Day was established for the education, further development and promotion of Rum within the spirits industry. Rum Day DC highlights Rum’s great history and brings awareness to its diversity, while sharing it's love for Rum with the masses.
