1) AMPBID Board Meeting on Tuesday
Just a quick reminder that the March 2015 AMPBID Board meeting will be Tuesday March 10th at 5 pm at the Festival Center at 1640 Columbia Road, NW. Hope you can join us!
Joining us will be At-Large Councilmember Elissa Silverman. We have asked her to talk about the Wage Theft legislation that was introduced at the end of February. Please come with your questions for her.

2) News from Bardia's of Bardia's New Orleans Cafe
|

As you know, Bardia's New Orleans Cafe at 2412 18th Street,
NW is going to take a temporary hiatus while the building under goes
renovations. We learned this week that in the mean time Bardia will be at
"Have a taste of New Orleans at Bistro U" at 926 U Street, NW. There is a
60 person seating capcity, a huge bar and
kitchen. He is taking his old menu
and doing more in seafood, poutry, and lagniap
pe (so generous!). He will be
open late on weekends
. Grand opening is for later in March. He will post more

3) The Line Hotel update
We learned this week that The Line hotel developers have given their
contractor - Walsh Construction - the green light to begin demolition of
the old City Paper building on Champlain Street. The demolition is
expected to begin next week and should take about 5 to 6 weeks.

Capital BikeShare Approves the first Membership Price Increase
Starting this spring, it will cost more to join the region’s popular bike sharing network.
Capital Bikeshare has approved new membership prices, raising the annual membership fee from $75 to $85. The new fares go into effect May 1. The bike system of 3,000 bikes and 348 stations across the region — in the District, Alexandria and Arlington and Montgomery counties— had not raised fares since its 2010 launch.
The new price structure includes price changes for casual access and for members who pay on monthly installments. Capital Bikeshare will also remove the $101 authorization hold placed on credit and debit cards when someone purchases short-term memberships at stations. Read more here:
