Gathering to remember Jacques Morgan - Owner of Idle Time Books- please send stories too!

Many of you have heard that Jacques (Jack) Morgan - owner of Idle Time Books at 2467 18th Street, NW passed away last week after a long illness.

Val Morgan, Jack's wife, invites the Adams Morgan community to join her at La Fourchette at 2429 18th Street, NW on Wednesday December 12th from 1:30 to 4:30 pm to remember Jack.

Also please send Kristen at kbarden@adamsmorganonline.org funny stories or anecdotes about Jack and his life/work in Adams Morgan for 30+ years. She is compiling these for Val but also to send a Letter to the Editor to local media outlets.

Please reminisce about Jacques and the Adams Morgan "thing" that makes the neighborhood so special. It will be a compendium of memories about Jacques, but also celebrating the community where he made his livelihood. Calls are ok too - 202-997-0783. Please send these/call Kristen as soon as possible. Thanks.
