1)Z-Kabob is opening soon where Snap used to be at 2475 18th Street, NW. Signage for Z-Kabob was erected last week at 2475 18th St NW. This appears to be the same Z-Kabob already found in four locations across Maryland and Virginia. If that is indeed the case, they'll be offering a halal menu with meat kabobs, haleem, biryanis, and more, including some vegetarian options. More information as it becomes available.

2) Please join Roofers Union for a Neighborhood Welcome Party this Sunday March 9th! We'll be having free samples of a variety of foods and discounted drinks so we can get to know our neighbors. We hope you can join us!

St. Patrick 's Day Sober Ride Materials will be distributed next week

The poster for WRAP’s 2014 St. Patrick’s Day SoberRide campaign can be found at h ttp://www.wrap.org/soberride/2014StPatrickSoberRide.pdf . Our Safety Ambassador, Clarence Myers, will distribute these and business cards next week.

It is scheduled to run from 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day) until 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014.

WRAP’s SoberRide program is one of the nation’s most successful free cab rides programs for would-be impaired drivers. However, prevention is essential for keeping our highways safe during high-risk holidays.

If you or your staff need an alcohol awareness presentation, WRAP’s Safe And Vital Employees (SAVE) program is available free of cost to you. This 45-minute, customized presentation will inform employees and/or military personnel about the physical, economic and legal consequences of impaired driving.

Reminder: Taste of Adams Morgan - April 29th

Interested in attracting new patrons to your business and raising money for a worthwhile cause?  Then we have the event for you!

Mary’s Center and the Adams Morgan Partnership Business Improvement District (AMPBID) would like to invite the restaurants of Adams Morgan to participate in the Second Annual Taste of Adams Morgan set for Tuesday, April 29th, from 5:30-9pm.

Last year’s event raised over $3,500 and we need YOU to make this year’s event an even greater success!

Similar to last year, Taste of Adams Morgan will provide city-goers with a chance to sample from Adams Morgan’s best restaurants while supporting their neighborhood and Mary’s Center, in the process.

Tickets will be available for purchase online as well as the day of the event with proceeds going to Mary’s Center.  Each ticket may be redeemed for one pre-fix “taste” at the participating restaurants, so with tickets in hand, attendees can stroll down 18th Street at their leisure, ready to whet their whistles and partake in some of the best dishes that Adams Morgan has to offer.
