2017 Cherry Blossom Festival looking for auction contributions

Dear Members of the Adams Morgan Partnership BID,

National Cherry Blossom Festival, Inc. is pleased to present its eleventh annual Pink Tie Party Fundraiser, the social event of spring that celebrates the blossoms in style while supporting the Festival’s mission. The 2017 Pink Tie Party Fundraiser will be held on Thursday, March 16, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center .

As in the past, the success of the fundraiser depends on contributions to our Silent and Online Auction from organizations like yours. We invite you to play a critical role in supporting our fundraising efforts by providing a donation of any gift certificates, services, items, theme baskets, or other items to the Auction.

Your donation to the Auction will allow the Festival to continue to provide nearly four weeks of events and programs that are predominately free and open to the public, a proud cornerstone of the Festival’s mission. This programming includes the Opening Ceremony at DC’s historic Warner Theatre, the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade®, the Neighborhood Tree Planting Program, and much more.

Donors will be recognized with a unique page in the Online Auction catalog and named in the Pink Tie Party printed program. Additionally, donations of high value will be prominently displayed for bidding during the Silent Auction at the Pink Tie Party gala, which is attended by hundreds of regional professionals each year.  Opportunities for additional recognition is also available for individuals or companies contributing donations at this level.

As the nation’s greatest springtime celebration, the National Cherry Blossom Festival welcomes more than 1.5 million people each year, with more than 55% of attendees from the metro-DC area. The Festival is dedicated to promoting the beauty of nature and international friendship through programming, events, and educational initiatives that enhance our environment, showcase arts and culture, and build community spirit. National Cherry Blossom Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.

Description : In this course, students will learn the basic principles of project management, including key concepts from the Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closure processes. It highlights high-level definitions of the ten project management knowledge areas: integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management. Students will also learn how to deliver projects that meet objectives, success criteria and stakeholder requirements.

* $10.00 registration fee must be paid in advance at the DC SBDC Lead Center at least 5 days before the event. If payment is not received your name would be removed from the registration list.
