Latin American Movie Night at Marie Reed Field starts Tomorrow!
|
Join the Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs beginning on Thursday, September 14 for a movie series showcasing international films from Latin American countries. The films will be show on the soccer field at Marie Reed Elementary School.

Adams Morgan Fall PorchFest: October 14
|
Adams Morgan PorchFest is officially a twice-a-year event with its return on Saturday, October 14 from 2pm - 6pm.
DC's favorite music festival has grown in size and popularity every year and this fall
we're really going big and will be closing 18th Street to vehicle traffic between Kalorama and Columbia Roads during the event!
This year's event will have a headliner -- Mark Bryan (of Hootie and the Blowfish) and his band The Screaming Trojans will be playing on 18th Street. Other featured bands include The Experience Band and The Airport 77s.

Adams Morgan Apple Festival returns on October 28
|
The 10th Annual Adams Morgan Apple Pie Baking Contest and the 15th Annual Licking Creek Bend Farm Heirloom Apple Tasting returns to Adams Morgan on
Saturday, October 28 from 10am - 1pm
!
The highly-anticipated community event will take place in front of The Line Hotel and directly across the street from the farmer’s market in Unity Park at Euclid and Champlain Streets NW.
The entry form for the Apple Pie Baking Contest will go live at noon on Wednesday, September 27 at
AdMoAppleFestival.com
. Last year all 16 entry slots were claimed within the first 15 minutes.

PSA 303 Community Event on September 19
|
Commander Boteler and Lt. Jeffrey Jones have scheduled a PSA 303 community event and walk for Tuesday September 19, 2023 at 1pm. They have invited various partners within the DC government to come together targeting PSA 303, specifically the area in and around Unity Park. This will be an opportunity for the neighborhood to come together, meet some of the officers from the area and to get some exercise and voice our public safety concerns together. The starting point will be LINE Hotel, eastbound on Columbia Rd, then southbound on Ontario and returning west on Euclid to the LINE HOTEL.

Anti-Harassment Trainings Continue
The deadline to complete DC’s anti-sexual harassment training may have passed, but operators are still encouraged to register their staff for classes before the deadline to submit their compliance report Oct. 13.

The Commercial Property Acquisition Fund will provide eligible businesses with down payment assistance of up to $750,000 or 25% of the sale price, whichever is less, for the acquisition of commercial property in the District. This year, businesses will need to complete three mandatory sessions in order to apply for the Fund. OPEN now on a rolling basis until funds are expended.
