1) Washington Nationals Baseball Promotional materials
The Washington Nationals are preparing for a trip back to the Postseason for the second time in the past three years. Nothing but October!
As in 2012, the Nationals hope to unite the community and galvanize support for the hometown team by engaging the Adams Morgan Partnership.
Together, we can give workers, residents, commuters and visitors additional ways to celebrate the Postseason and share in the exhilaration of October baseball.
As part of the district-wide
“#NothingButOctober”
campaign, the Nationals have provided promotional items to the Adams Morgan Partnership BID.
These items include Nationals tshirts, baseball hats, stickers, messenger bags, bobble head dolls, magnetic decals, etc...
We have VERY LIMITED SUPPLY OF THESE ITEMS sooo...they will only be distributed at the annual meeting/board elections on October 14th at 5 pm at the Festival Center, 1640 Columbia Road, NW. If you and/or your staff would like these, please attend the meeting. Thanks.

2) Chipotle Mexican Grill coming to the former Mixtec Restaurant space at 1792 Columbia Road,NW?
We have heard from good sources that Chipotle Mexican Grill will be opening a new restaurant in the former Mixtec Restaurant space at 1792 Columbia Road, NW. We were sorry to see long time business owner Pepe Montesinos close the beloved Mixtec in March this year after decades and decades in business. His smile, enthusiasm and great fish tacos are truly missed!

4) The Diner's Welcome Home Happy Hour - September 29th
After 13 years of 24/7, The Diner at 2453 18th St NW Washington DC, took two and a half weeks off last month for a bit of a refresh. They have reopened, better than ever.
The Diner, at 2453 18th St NW Washington, DC, took two and a half weeks off for a face lift after 13 years of business. The Diner has reopened and invites their loyal guests back for a visit.
On New Year’s Eve 2001, The Diner, in Adams Morgan, began its amazing journey of being open 24/7, serving the “early birds, night owls and everyone in-between.” Oh, if The Diner walls could talk! After 13 years, equaling about 113,880 hours of slinging eggs and grilling burgers, The Diner needed a pick me up. Our loyal and hardworking staff were able to take some well-deserved time off, the walls got a fresh coat of paint, and some work was done to freshen up the place.
“When the Diner opened in 2001, I never could have imagined what a crazy, fun, wild ride it would be. We've been so lucky to be both a part of the Adams Morgan community and DC's Diner for the last 13 years, and our way of saying thanks was to give DC and our neighbors a new and improved (but familiar) Diner to enjoy for the next 13 years...and beyond.” says Constantine Stavropoulos owner of The Diner. “We pride ourselves on being one of DC’s favorite gathering places and we are so excited to reopen our doors and welcome everyone back, we’ve missed you!” says Ashanti Murrain, The Diner’s GM.
The Diner has indeed re-opened its doors and can’t be more pleased with the layout of the space and the opportunity to welcome their loyal guests back through their doors. Newly added expansive mirrors open up the space, and a redesign and enlargement of the counter seating offers the neighborhood more chances to catch up on the latest gossip, watch their pancakes get flipped, and chat with strangers and friends alike.
One other big change is the location of the bar--moving from a back hidden corner to the front of the restaurant where it’s flooded with natural light. It’s the perfect place to grab one of many American craft beer cans with dinner after work, gather with a group of friends for a potent, DC inspired Bone Crusher cocktail on draft, or as a place to wait for a seat at brunch sipping (or gulping!) the classic Bloody Mary or the newly added tomatillo/kale based “Green Mary”.
The Diner will be having a “Welcome Back Happy Hour” for the neighborhood to show off its new bar, cocktails, and food on Monday September 29th from 4 until 7 PM. We’ll see you there!
