Carriage House (formerly Tom Tom) at 2333 18th Street, NW is having their soft opening this weekend. Be sure to check it out!

Federal Restaurant (formerly District Underground and Saki prior to that) is opening at 2477 18th Street, NW. According to Open Table, the owners of Floriana (located at 1602 17th St, NW in Dupont) will be running Federal.

Millie and Al's Restaurant at 2440 18th Street, NW will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary with a number of events from May 8 through the 10th, 2013. Stay tuned here for more details.

The Adams Morgan Partnership BID is thrilled to be supporting the Do Good Summit in Washington, DC on May 3rd. The Summit is an one-day, intensive, interactive conference for entrepreneurs. Workshops, panels and speakers teach entrepreneurs how to run successful businesses that have streamlined, innovative operations with a focus on having a positive social and environmental impact.

Attendees will experience a mix of traditional and innovative conference platforms, hands-on breakout sessions, inspiring local, regional and national speakers and a wide array of networking opportunities designed to grow their business.

T aste of Adams Morgan to benefit Mary's Center - Sign up today to participate!

Interested in attracting new patrons and raising money for a worthwhile cause? Then we have the event for you!

The Adams Morgan Partnership BID and Mary’s Center have teamed up to invite the businesses in Adams Morgan to participate in Taste of Adams Morgan , an exciting new event series for 2013. The first of three events, the launch for Taste of Adams Morgan will be Tuesday May 21 ^st from 4:30 to 8pm, and we need YOU to make it a success.

Taste of Adams Morgan will provide city-goers with a chance to sample from Adams Morgan’s best restaurants while supporting your neighbor, Mary’s Center, in the process.

Tickets will be available for purchase online as well as at The Little Shop of Flowers, Toro Mata, and the Wise Owl Club beginning on May 1with proceeds going to Mary’s Center. Each ticket may be redeemed for one pre-fix “taste” at the participating restaurants. Drinks and other food would be purchased by the patrons individually at the restaurant.

So with tickets in hand, attendees can stroll throughout Adams Morgan at their leisure, ready to whet their whistles and partake in some of the best dishes that DC has to offer.

Not familiar with Mary’s Center? Just off of 18 ^th Street at the corner of Ontario and Kalorama, Mary’s Center’s bustling main offices have been serving the DC metro area since 1988. Entering their 25 ^th year, with now seven locations and two mobile medical units, Mary’s Center continues to fulfill its mission of building better futures through the delivery of health care, education, and social services. Dine Out for Life - at Adams Morgan businesses on April 25

The Annual "Dine Out for Life" event to benefit Food and Friends is Thursday April 25th. Your meal at a participating restaurant will provide many nutrious meals to children and adults battling HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses.

A number of Adams Morgan restaurants are participating including:

18th and U Duplex Diner - donating 25% of proceeds

Cashion's Eat Place - donating 25% of proceeds

La Fourchette - donating 25% of proceeds - lunch and dinner

L'Enfant Cafe and Bar - donating 50% of proceeds

Little Fountain Cafe - donating 50% of proceeds

Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers - donating 25 % of proceeds - lunch and dinner

Mintwood Place - donating 25% of proceeds

Napoleon Bistro - donating 25% of proceeds

Perry's - donating 25% of proceeds

Yachad GrownUp Field Day at Marie Reed - May 5th

A fundraiser will take place at Marie Reed Elementary School/Recreation Center field on May 5th. The proceeds go to Yachad, a nonprofit that brings communities together by preserving affordable housing and revitalizing neighborhoods.

They will be organizing a fun "Grown Up" Field Day targeted at young professionals and filled with obstacles, relay races, and capture the flag (all home-repair themed) with a bar crawl to follow. In-Kind and financial partnership with marketing opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
