Important: Commercial Property Tax Bills (which include BID taxes)

Commercial property owners in DC should have received their property tax bill (which includes the BID taxes) by now. If you haven't received it by the end of the week, please let us know, or visit
mytax.dc.gov
where you can print out a copy and/or pay your bill online.
We are hearing that some mixed-use commercial properties have incorrect BID taxes due to the commercial use percentages not being applied correctly. If you believe the BID tax portion of your property tax bill is incorrect, please

The beloved Adams Morgan Farmers Market is now operating at Unity Park in front of The LINE Hotel DC. Unity Park is the triangle park at the confluence of Columbia Rd., Champlain St., and Euclid St., NW. The market is celebrating its 49th year in the neighborhood. The market will be open from 8:30am - 1pm on Saturdays through Christmas.
Parking around the park will be restricted from 5am - 3pm on Saturdays for the market to allow for the vendors' trucks --
cars will be towed if they violate the parking restrictions

Changes to 42, 43 Metrobus Routes Effective September 5
|
Service on the two lines will be extended to Potomac Park and the Kennedy Center. Between Farragut Square and the Kennedy Center, buses will operate along 18th Street, 19th Street, and Virginia Avenue NW.
Service will no longer operate between Farragut Square and Gallery Place
.

Refresher on DC DOH’s protocol for exposure to COVID-19.
We received some questions regarding positive testing versus exposure protocol in DC and wanted to remind you of the steps to take should you need to do so.
-
If a person tests positive for COVID-19, they should be excluded from work immediately and begin their quarantine regardless of vaccination status.

If a person has been in close contact with someone with COVID-19:
-
Fully vaccinated people who have been notified that they have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 generally do not need to quarantine, or be restricted from work, or be tested, however they should 1) notify their doctor and 2) monitor themselves for symptoms for 14 days from their exposure.

Not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 who are within close contact of a person who tested positive, should contact a health care provider and self-quarantine immediately for a minimum of 10 days. Click here for more information.
Also in DC, Mayor Bowser is requiring all healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated, and they must receive at least one dose by September 30th. This is the city’s second move in expanding vaccination requirements by employment.

Volunteer Benefits:
Expo Volunteers receive a Volunteer Pass which gives them access to the workshop sessions and exhibitor hall once their assigned shift is completed or as duties allow.
As a bonus, volunteers will receive a Certificate of Service for their work.
Depending on the shift selected volunteers will receive either breakfast, lunch and/or a snack.
Please note volunteers will need to be available during the afternoon of September 9th from 1pm-3pm as well as on September 15th for 3 hours between 1pm - 6pm.

DOEE Partners with EnergySage to Help DC Residents & Owners Solar Comparison Shop
|
In an effort to advance DC's environmental goals, the DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) has teamed up with
EnergySage
to help DC residents comparison shop options for installing solar panels on their property, or subscribing to a local community solar farm. DOEE and EnergySage are holding an information session on Wednesday, August 18 at 1 pm for District residents, landlords, and clean energy stakeholders who would like to learn more about going solar. Register here.
Mayor Muriel Bowser has committed the District to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 50 percent by 2032, with the overall goal of a carbon free DC by 2050. Additionally, the Clean Energy DC Omnibus Act of 2018 mandates that 100 percent of the District’s energy supply come from Tier 1 renewable energy sources by 2032; at least 10 percent of that energy must come from solar energy generated locally.
Developed with funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, the EnergySage site allows customers to easily obtain competing online quotes from prescreened solar installers, financing companies and solar farm developers.
