Adams Morgan Movie Nights returns May 15 for our 5th season!

We'll be returning to the soccer field at Marie Reed School this year with a great lineup of films and some other fun stuff you won't want to miss.

We'll once again be partnering with the Marie Reed PTA to sell snacks and will also be working with Adams Morgan businesses to offer "Movie Meals" packaged to take with you to the show. In addition, we're working on a Doggy Valet program with Life of Riley to allow your pooch a night out with some of his/her friends while you're enjoying the movie. Watch our Facebook page for more details on all of the above, and of course rainout information just in case.

So without further ado, this year's schedule:

  • May 15: Pixar Shorts collection (Featuring a selection of Pixar’s short films ranging from some of their earliest, groundbreaking work to more contemporary shorts)
  • May 22: The Big Lebowski (1998)
  • May 29: Hairspray (2007)
  • June 5: Jackie (2016)
  • June 12: Hidden Figures (2016)

Adams Morgan Movie Nights are sponsored by WETA and Mill Creek , and supported by Life of Riley , the Marie Reed Elementary School PTA , and neighborhood volunteers.

If your Adams Morgan restaurant wants to participate in the Movie Meals program, please contact Brian Barrie

Dining Out For Life is tonight!

Eat out on April 12 and help raise money for AIDS service organizations. Participating Adams Morgan restaurants include 18th & U Duplex Diner , Mintwood Place . Perry's , and Pop's SeaBar .

About the project:

  • 60 HIV/AIDS service organizations
  • 3,000 restaurants donating a percentage of sales
  • 300,000 dining out for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • $4.2 million a year for outstanding HIV/AIDS organizations in the US and Canada!

Grab your family and friends (classmates, co-workers, yoga instructor, etc.) and make plans to dine out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner at a participating restaurant in a city near you. A percentage of sales will benefit an outstanding HIV/AIDS service organization in your community.

Reservations are strongly encouraged at most Dining Out For Life participating restaurants. Let your restaurant know that you will be dining with them because of their support for HIV/AIDS services in your community. Dine Out, Fight AIDS!

You can view the list of events being offered this month, which will be updated periodically with new events. If you don’t see a workshop or training event that addresses your particular need, we encourage you to visit the DCSmallBizHelp.com where you can identify and contact a small business support organization to assist you.
