R eminder: AMPBID will install FREE flood lights on timers on the front of your business

Just a quick reminder as we enter the busy warm weather months. The  Adams Morgan Partnership BID (AMPBID) will install FREE flood lights on timers on the front of your business.  The idea is for businesses to turn on the flood lights at closing each night to flood the streets of Adams Morgan with light. The hope is that the bright lights will detour crime and make our streets safer.

The flood lights will be installed by a licensed and bonded electrician.  If you are interested in a FREE flood light, please contact Kristen at kbarden@adamsmorganonline.org or call 202-997-0783. Thanks!

New Customer Loyalty Resources

We recently met with two new companies Glance and Belly that offer customer loyalty programs at low monthly costs.

Introducing Glance, a new loyalty service

We recently met with Sriram Rajan -- sriram_rajan@justglance.com -- founder of Glance, a loyalty card service, and Adams Morgan business located at 19th and Kalorama Road, NW. Glance seeks to help merchants with customer retention through loyalty cards and other incentives merchants can publish on consumers' smartphones.

Sriram explained that Glance makes loyalty convenient for consumers because they can throw away paper loyalty cards in favor Glance's digital version. Merchants benefit through analytics difficult to collect otherwise-- on customer visits and overall store loyalty.

In addition to the digital loyalty card, Glance also provides a platform for digital marketing campaigns. Using QR codes, barcodes that smartphones can read, consumers can see and save offers that merchants publish. As an example, a store can publish a newspaper ad with a Glance QR code that lets the consumer save a voucher or coupon.

Sriram would be happy to speak about Glance or do a demo if contacted at the email address above. A video illustrating how Glance works is available here . Glance LLC is an Adams Morgan based company www.justglance.com .

We also met with Patrick Williams of Belly - patrick.w@bellycard.com .

Belly is a Chic ago based company - www.bellyca rd.com. For business owners, the dainty chime of a doorway entry bell only means one thing: It's go time! With Belly, businesses can expect to hear that little sound all day long due to our unique marketing campaigns. We work with you to create a loyalty program that your customers actually want to be part of, bringing them back through the door time and time again. We tailor rewards to fit your business's one-of-a-kind personality. Soon enough, that doorway chime will lead to every merchant's favorite sound: the glorious cha-ching of the cash register.

Belly card is being used in a couple of Adams Morgan businesses already - Enchanted Nails and Planet Pet.

Grand Opening - Smoothie King - April 17th - FREE Smoothies
