Construction activities will take place on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 8:00pm until Tuesday, July 1, 2014 5:00am at the following locations by the DC Water contractor: Columbia Road NW and Euclid Street NW

The following locations will be affected and have been notified of the scheduled water outage:

·       2500 Block of 17th Street NW

·       1630 and 1640 – 1664 Columbia Road NW (even side only)

·       1801 – 1855 Calvert Street NW (odd side only)

·       1915 - 1963 Calvert Street NW (odd side only)

·       1700 Block of Lanier Place NW

Pepco work beginning on June 26th

From Pepco:

We wanted to notify you of work at a Pepco substation located at Ontario Road,  Old Morgan School Place, and Champlain Street, NW.  For reliability reasons, Pepco will be replacing a transformer on an accelerated schedule. We are currently preparing the transformer for removal and on Thursday June 26th we will be loading it onto a transport vehicle within our property.

On Friday morning, we will remove the transformer from our property between the hours of 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.  Parking restrictions will be required in areas near our substation so that there is enough space to maneuver the transport vehicle.  Crews expect to exit our property onto Ontario Rd., take a left onto Old Morgan School Place, take a left on Champlain St. and finally exit the area on Florida Ave., NW.

We expect the new transformer to be delivered to our property on Monday morning, June 30th between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.  This work will not require any excavation, or use of public space other than for ingress and egress.  Once the transformer is in place, crews will prepare the transformer for installation and activation.  With the exception of transporting the transformer, most work will occur during normal day working hours.  It is important to note that outages will not be required to complete this work.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and we will be glad to assist.  To notify neighbors of this work, we hand delivered a letter this morning.
