Jack Dinh looks forward to welcoming customers within about a month to his new nail salon on the second floor above North Sea

2) Mediterranean Spot is now Philly Cheesestake and Gyro at 2421 18th Street, NW

The Mediterranean Spot expanded with a second location in Adams Morgan in June 2013. Earlier this week they changed the awings and their name. The owners are still the same (Mohammed Rashed) and the menu is staying pretty much the same.

Cashion's new menu debuts July 11th and July 4th Cook Out
Cashion's plans to launch a new menu on Friday July 11th, which is also their Seven Year Anniversay as the current owners of Cashion's!
The new menu will be redesigned to allow guests more flexibility with their dining experience and the culinary shift will focus on more rustic, fork-to-farm dishes that Chef Manolatos does so well.
Specifically, they will be adding a "Tartare" section which will feature all raw or cured items. Items will range in price between $8-$14
They will also be offering a "For The Table" section which will be small bites that are designed to act as traditional appetizers. Items here will range in price between $6-$12. Main courses will be divided into the following sections: "Meat," "Fish," "Fowl," and "For Two" and all items will be served a la carte. Prices will range between $14-$25 for most dishes, with the "For Two" section ranging in price between $45-$65 depending on the dish. Finally, there will be a sections of the menu devoted to side dishes that will be designed to share between two people. Items here will range between $8-$12. The menu will continue to change frequently and focus on being inventive, local, and seriously good as it has been since 1995.
July 4th Cook-Out Menu
Cashion's will be open on Friday, July 4th from 1pm-6pm for a Fourth of July Cookout (but closed for traditional dinner service). For $40 they will be offering guests all you can eat from the items below AND a Summer Punch or Summer Shandy (non-alcoholic versions will be available, as well).
•Slow-roasted Pork Shoulder with Red Onion Escabeche and Corn on the Cob •Cashion's Corn Dogs
•Pasta Salad with grilled Vegetables and Pesto
•Tomato-Cucumber Salad
•Traditional Cole Slaw
•Watermelon
•Homemade Orange Jello with Bing Cherries
They don't expect the food to last past 2pm and encourage all guests to arrive before then to ensure they get their fill! They will only be selling a limited number of tickets and expect to sell them out quickly.

The Adams Morgan Basketball Association (AMBA), run by local residents, is a community-based non-profit serving Adams Morgan and the surrounding neighborhoods of Washington D.C. Using basketball as a vehicle, AMBA’s goal is to improve the lives of the young people in the community through the promotion of healthy living, career development and camaraderie. To accomplish this mission, AMBA provides a variety of activities including youth basketball camps, neighborhood tournaments, park clean-up days, mentoring and professional development services.
Buying just a few drinks at AMBA’s Summer Fundraiser, you will help support AMBA’s continued work in 2014! With the recent support of local leadership, we are now turning to YOU to help us take AMBA to the next level! Southern Hospitality will be donating 10% of the evening’s proceeds to AMBA and private donations will also be warmly welcomed.
