TOMORROW: Join us at the Adams Morgan Apple Festival + Gear up for Fall PorchFest on November 1!

We can't wait to see you tomorrow at the 12th Annual Adams Morgan Apple Pie Baking Contest and the 17th Annual Licking Creek Bend Farm Heirloom Apple Tasting this Saturday, October 18! The highly-anticipated community event will take place in front of The LINE DC hotel and directly across the street from the farmer’s market in Unity Park at Euclid and Champlain Streets NW.

Event highlights include an heirloom apple tasting and a homemade apple pie baking contest from residents in the neighborhood. Area bakers compete for the title of ‘Best Apple Pie’, and attendees can purchase pie slices to support Sitar Arts Center , a neighborhood nonprofit that advances equitable access to high quality education and workforce development in the visual, performing, and digital arts.

Event Schedule:

  • 8:30am : Adams Morgan Farmers Market opens in Unity Park
  • 10am : Heirloom apple tasting, presented by Michael Tabor of the Licking Creek Bend Farm
  • 11am : Pie slices go on sale (available on a first-come, first-served basis. We sell out quickly!)
  • 11:30am : Apple pie contest judging begins
  • 12:30pm : Apple pie contest winners announced

Additionally, Fall PorchFest is almost here! Adams Morgan’s favorite fall tradition returns Saturday, November 1, from 2pm - 6pm , and the neighborhood is getting ready to sing, dance, and celebrate together!

With 100+ performances across 25+ of porches, patios, and pop-up stages, there’s something for everyone from funk and folk to jazz and indie rock.
