1) Adams Morgan Summer Concert Series - begins May 2 - wristband discount program returns

We are really excited to be hosting another Summer Concert Series on

Saturdays in May and June. This will be our 7th year rocking out the plaza in

front of BB&T Bank!

The dates will be May 2nd, 9th, 16th , 30th, June 6th and 13th from 5 to 7 pm.

Here is the line up:
May 2 Jelly Roll Mortals
May 9 Dot Dash
May 16 Goin' Goin' Gone
May 30th La Unica
June 6th Doug Stevenson & The Spades
June 13th Dupont Brass

Looking forward to another fantastic music series!

As you may remember, the neighborhood is full of visitors the days of the

concerts so this translates to an opportunity for you to expand your list of

customers. We’d like to give them an extra incentive to walk in your door.

People who attend the concerts will be provided with distinctive paper

bracelets and we would love to have your participation in offering them any

kind of discount or promotion that you think would be the best for them to get

to love you, some examples could be: 15% off purchases that day, a free

appetizer with entrée purchased, 2 for 1 promotions, etc…

In summary: Wear the bracelet. Get the discounts.

This was a big success a couple years ago so we thought w e would bring it

back again this Summer. We encourage you to be a part of it.

Also on May 16th , there will be a large neighborhood-wide yard sale – the

“Mother of All Yard Sales” according to the organizers. They have agreed to

give the wrist bands to everyone who stops at one of the yard sales too. This

should double the number the people who get wristbands that day.

The discount or special you offer is only good on those Saturdays and

people have to present the paper wrist band.

If you'd like to participate or have any questions regarding the event, please

respond to Ruben Frias our intern at rdfrias018@gmail.com and he will write

back as soon as possible.

We need to know if you will participate and what your discount or special

deal will be by April 15th. Thanks!

4) Spring time reminder about trash in public trash cans

Our clean team empties the public trash cans every day,

sometimes multiple times a day. If your business is the type that sells

goods in boxes i.e. pizza, Verizon, Tmobile, etc... please

remind your patrons to fold up their pizza box before putting it in

the can, or dispose of their new cell phone box at home or leave in

the store for the staff to dispose of properly. The public cans fill up very

quickly with these items and the cans can quickly overflow or

appear full when they aren't.

Many thanks for your cooperation to keep Adams Morgan clean.

Think Local First offers PR consulting for FREE

Public relations is an integral aspect of the success of ANY business. Weather you are a product or service based biz - across any industry - getting ready for launch or in a growth stage - a comprehensive public relations strategy (that means more than just sending out press releases!) can be the difference between a business that survives and a business that thrives.

Unfortunately, PR is often put on the back burner for a small business, entrepreneurs and start-ups…not because they think it’s unimportant, but simply put, they’ve got business to do! And HOW when you’re trying to achieve world domination can you justify the large expense of having a Public Relations firm on retainer to adequately maintain a campaign to ensure it’s success? It’s just not bottom line sensible…yet the bottom line is what suffers when businesses do NOT utilize PR as a way to stay in the forefront of consumer’s minds…
