Federal Resources During COVID-19 Pandemic
|
Congresswoman Norton’s District Office wants to flag the following resources for information on commonly asked questions during the coronavirus pandemic. These FAQs includes questions regarding who is eligible for the stimulus payments, how individuals on social security and/or SSI are affected by the stimulus rebate program, what assistance for small businesses and nonprofits was included in the bill, how workers are protected by sick leave, how will student loans be impacted, how to apply for food assistance and how individuals apply for “state” unemployment benefits through local authorities.
There are several downloadable one-pagers that all D.C. residents should be directed to:

The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) is enhancing the security and improving access to our online resources. Access DC is a key component of
DCRA’s Vision 2020 digital transformation
to make every DCRA service available securely on-demand. As part of this implementation, user email addresses will be verified so they can be safely used as Access DC usernames for sign-in to DCRA's online services. The Access DC account will be all you need to access any of DCRA’s online systems.
In the coming weeks, DCRA will begin protecting its online service applications with Access DC. You will notice that Access DC will be required to access some applications that previously allowed unsecured access.
Signing up for an Access DC account is easy. Simply visit
accessdc.dcra.dc.gov
and click the
sign up
link.
Access DC benefits:
-
Access DC simplifies interactions with DCRA. Instead of having multiple accounts with passwords to remember, your single Access DC account will be used for every DCRA online system.
-
Access DC enhances security by verifying email addresses of all users, and protects DCRA's online services with an access management platform conforming to the U.S. government’s stringent FedRAMP security standards.
-
The Access DC account is easy to obtain. You can sign up for an account in just a few minutes, and if you ever forget your login information, self-guided prompts will help you recover it instantly.

QuickBooks will soon enable funding for the Paycheck Protection Program
|
Quckbooks is working around the clock to create a simple application prep process and enable funding for the Paycheck Protection Program within QuickBooks Online. The application prep process saves time by enabling you or your clients to prepare application materials with information already available in QuickBooks.
On Wednesday, April 8th, they plan to launch their application prep process to our QuickBooks Online Payroll customers. They intend to make this process available to additional QuickBooks and Intuit Online Payroll customers soon.

"Buy Restaurant Bonds" campaign encourages customers to support restaurants by gift card purchases
|
The Adams Morgan Partnership is trying to help restaurants and bars that have forced to close or severely limit their services by encouraging customers to purchase gift cards for future dining. We are trying to make a splash with this campaign -- modeled after the
Buy War Bonds
campaigns of WWI and WWII -- to help draw attention to our 100+ restaurants and employees that are facing an uncertain future. Please join in via your own social media accounts using the hashtag
#BuyRestaurantBonds
Please tag us in your social media posts about the operating status of your business so we can pass the information along.
