, local artists, and neighborhood businesses! Walk the streets of Adams Morgan and admire an impressive selection of artwork displayed in various storefronts in a self-guided walking tour starting
April 3 through April 30
. Each participating local artist has a variety of artwork on display in an Adams Morgan business. Thanks to overwhelming support from the community since the event’s initial launch in 2020, it has continued to grow with increased participation from local businesses and artists.

Zoom Meeting: Overview of Goals & Opportunity for Feedback on Adams Morgan Nightlife Task Force
|
We have set up a Zoom meeting with Salah Czapary, Director of the Mayor's Office of Nightlife & Culture, to talk about the Adams Morgan Nightlife Task Force on
Tuesday, April 25 at 3:30pm.
The Mayor added Adams Morgan to the Nightlife Task Force as the 4th neighborhood in this citywide program. It began on March 10th here and continues each weekend. This meeting will be an opportunity to hear about the goals of the program and for you to ask questions or bring up concerns.
Salah will discuss the goals of the program and will answer any questions you might have.

Fundraising Event for Joseph's House

Joseph's House DC will proudly celebrate 33 years of providing and coordinating holistic care for homeless adults living with HIV/AIDS, and cancer at Shepherding Hope, a Fundraising Event. Joseph's House supports each individual by honoring dignity, offering companionship, and promoting justice. This event will take place on May 11, 2023 from 6-8pm, at The Generator Hotel in Washington, DC. Shepherding Hope will provide a unique opportunity for Joseph’s House to connect with community leaders, partners and supporters, and a network of volunteers to celebrate their collective work bridging the wide disparities of care for the vulnerable individuals they serve. 💸 Commercial Property Acquisition Fund (DMPED)
The Commercial Property Acquisition Fund will provide eligible businesses with down payment assistance of up to $750,000 or 25% of the sale price, whichever is less, for the acquisition of commercial property in the District. This year, businesses will need to complete three mandatory sessions in order to apply for the Fund. OPEN now on a rolling basis until funds are expended.

Complimentary DC Tipped Wage Workers Fairness Amendment Act (TWWFAA) Training at RAMW
The Tipped Wage Workers Fairness Amendment Act (TWWFAA) requires District employers who hire individuals earning tips as wages to complete sexual harassment training every two years by an OHR-certified trainer. We've received inquiries from several of you on whether the implementation of Initiative 82 may change this training requirement. To clarify, it does not affect this required law in place. The first deadline to complete this training is August 31, 2023.
RAMW is working with several OHR-certified trainers to find a cost-effective solution for the required training. At this time, we are happy to offer two in-person training sessions at no cost on Tuesday, April 18 and Tuesday, May 16 - registration is required to attend. These sessions will be open for owners, operators, and managers and will be led by OHR-certified trainer Jen Jackman, Partner at Ice Miller LLP.

DC Emancipation Day Office Closure, Extended Hours
|
Office Closure
ABCA’s office will be closed on Monday, April 17 in observance of DC Emancipation Day, and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18.
Extended Holiday Hours
During DC Emancipation Day Weekend, alcohol establishments enrolled in the
Extended Holiday Hours Program
may sell, serve, and allow on-premises consumption of alcohol until 4:00 a.m. and operate 24-hours starting the evening of Friday, April 14 and ending at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17.
Licensees may confirm their enrollment by locating their establishment’s name on the
Extended Holiday Hours Eligible Establishments | 2023 DC Emancipation Day Weekend roster
